Infant dies in a tragic accident due to extreme weather

COLOMBO (News 1st)-A coconut tree fell on a one-year-old infant and her grandmother due to strong winds that swept through the Skandhapuram area in Kilinochchi killing the infant. The windy state started this morning while the grandmother of the child took her outside the house for a bath. The child and her grandmother suffered injuries in the accident and the residents' had taken immediate steps to admit them to the hospital. However, the doctors were unable to save little Kashmika's life.
