Colombo (News 1st): State minister S.B. Dissanayake speaking at an event held in Peradeniya today (December 6) noted that the Sri Lankan female official at the Swiss embassy was not harassed, and no such incident or abduction had occurred at that place or that time as alleged.
He added that the security authorities have gathered all information and CCTV footage capturing her whereabouts. He said if the alleged incident is true, the best thing is for the victim to come forward and help with the investigation.
The State Minister went onto note that their government and the foreign ministry have affirmed that they will provide the maximum security for the victim. He noted that from what they see an attempt to create a black mark on the newly appointed president, has been proven futile.
