16 arrested for attempting to migrate illegally

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sixteen people had been arrested for attempting to illegally migrate by a boat from Chilaw.
Navy Spokesperson Lt. Commander Isuru Sooriyabandara said the men were arrested following a tip-off which resulted in a joint raid with the Police.
The suspects are being interrogated and investigations revealed that they are from Wakarai and Batticaloa.
