Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa listens to request of 6 year old boy

COLOMBO(News 1st) - Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa took to his official Twitter handle today (December 03), to respond to a message conveyed to him by a 6-year-old boy. The letter has been sent to the Prime Minister by a young boy named Abdullah Abubaid, a resident of England. In his letter, the boy states " Being one-half British and one half Sri Lankan, my heart is 100% full of love for amazing Sri Lanka." The letter also requests the Prime Minister to make the environment his foremost priority. The letter further says, "Please can you put systems in place to protect Sri Lanka's wonderful beaches and seas? That way turtles will be safe and visit Sri Lankan beaches every year, just like I will." In response to the letter sent to him, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has tweeted, thanking 6-year-old Abdullah Abubaid for his letter. The Prime Minister further said, "It has encouraged me and reminded me of the responsibility we as the older generation have towards our youngsters. "
