Chilaw acting ASP remanded

Colombo (News 1st): The acting ASP of Chilaw who was arrested for soliciting a bribe was remanded until the 13th of December.
On the 22nd of November, the Assistant Superintendent of Police in-charge of the Chilaw District 01 area was arrested for soliciting a bribe of Rs. 190,000.
He was arrested when soliciting the bribe to locate two Conch Shells reported missing from a Devala and to ensure the operations at the Devala went smoothly.
