Colombo (News 1sy): 21 foreign nationals who remained in the country without a valid visa were arrested at Wellampitiya by the Immigration and Emigration Department. 19 Indians and 02 Bangladeshis were arrested in this morning’s raid.

A spokesperson for the Immigration and Emigration Department Gayan Milinda speaking to News 1st said the suspects were employed at a construction site in Wellampitiya with expired visas.

The Department of Immigration and Emigration said the suspects are detained at the Mirihana Detention Camp.
