Former President Maithripala Sirisena promises rebirth in politics

Colombo (News 1st) - Former President Maithripala Sirisena says he is not done serving the people of the country. Attending a felicitation ceremony in Polonnaruwa today, the former head of state noted that even though some believe the this is the end of his political career, his journey is yet to conclude. He added that he would be reborn as a politician and that he would continue to serve the country and the people till his death. SLFP General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara and a number of local politicians were present at the event today when the former head of state made this statement.
