Northern railway line operations restored

Colombo (News 1st) - Operations along the Northern Railway line which were disrupted due to the derailing of the Yal Devi train have been restored. The Railway control room notes that services to Anuradhapura, Jaffna, and KKS began, as usual, this morning. The Northern Railway Line suffered considerable damages on Wednesday (Nov 27) when 5 carriages of the Yal Devi train derailed. A three-member committee has been appointed to look into the incident. The Department of railways has begun assessing the damages caused to the department due to the incident.
