New train to Kandy begins operations

Colombo (News 1st) - The Railways Department notes that a new train will begin operations today from Kandy to Colombo Fort. Railways General Manager Dilantha Fernando stated that they train departed Kandy at 4.30 am. The train is scheduled to make it's return trip at 5.20 pm today. Fernando went onto state that 8 new power sets would be imported to the country next month. 6 power sets are to be imported from China while two will be imported from India.
