Navy rescues 32 sea turtles in Mannar

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Sri Lanka Navy had been able to rescue 32 sea turtles in the sea area off the Mannar beach. A special operation had been carried out by the in the sea area between Thalpadu and Southbar in Mannar. They had discovered the 32 turtles trapped in several shrimp farms. Thereby the Navy had taken immediate steps to rescue the turtles and release them to the sea.
