NPP disappointed with the number of votes

Colombo (News 1st): A media briefing was convened this evening on behalf of Presidential candidate of the NPP Anura Kumara Dissanayake. The party said in a statement that they are not happy with the number of votes received at the presidential election. The National Peoples Power further stated that it was the start of a broad mass movement. They point out that instead of communalism, nationalism, and intimidation, their party was able to create an electoral platform with national unity. The National Peoples Power further stated that the expectations of the people are undefeated, and they will continue to strive towards victory.
