Colombo (News 1st): A media briefing was convened this evening on behalf of Presidential candidate of the NPP Anura Kumara Dissanayake. The party said in a statement that they are not happy with the number of votes received at the presidential election.

The National Peoples Power further stated that it was the start of a broad mass movement. They point out that instead of communalism, nationalism, and intimidation, their party was able to create an electoral platform with national unity.
