Today is World Diabetes Day

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Today (November 14) marks World Diabetes Day. The world's largest diabetes awareness campaign which is marked every year on November 14th seeks to mitigate the risk of diabetes, paving the way for a healthy future generation. World Diabetes Day was created in 1991 by the International Diabetes Federation, and the World Health Organization in response to growing concerns about the escalating health threat posed by diabetes. Every year, the World Diabetes Day campaign focuses on a dedicated theme that runs for one or more years. The theme for World Diabetes Day 2018 and 2019 is ''The Family and Diabetes''.
