243 army personnel to depart to Mali for UN Peacekeeping duties

Colombo (News 1st): A total of 243 army personnel are due to depart the country for the second phase of United Nations peacekeeping duties in the Kingdom of Mali. Accordingly, 43 Army officials will leave the country today while 200 more will depart tomorrow to the Kingdom of Mali. 20 officers and 223 other rankers form the contingent. Meanwhile, a group of 196 personnel including both officers and other rankers who were engaged in Peacekeeping duties in the Mali Kingdom is expected to return to the country day after tomorrow (November 14).
