We'll ensure that people are not only driven by loans: Ajith Nivard Cabraal

Colombo (News 1st) An event organized by the Sri Lanka Trade Development Council was held in Colombo today (November 11). Former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal shared these views at the occasion;

"There are three things we are doing which will provide you with additional capital in your hands. One is the reduction in taxes, it can be all types of duties and taxes and registrar company charges. Secondly the reduction of interest. The third part is to ensure that people are not only driven by loans. That is why we suggested that we will have a fund of at least 50 billion, which will support the businesses that have got into difficulty because of the government actions."
