"I will protect your rights more than my own life" - Sajith Premadasa

COLOMBO (News1 st):- Presidential Candidate Sajith Premadasa attended a public rally in Thalawakele organized by Minister Palani Digambaram. Speaking to the masses gathered the Presidential candidate, Sajith Premadasa said;
"I would like to say as the son of Premadasa, I will take care of the estate community who strengthened us always. I will now try to express something that is in my heart in Tamil. I will protect your rights more than I protect my own life. I am a genuine Sinhala Buddhist. I would like to say that I have the patriotism and the Buddhist qualities of Ranasinghe Premadasa. Therefore while giving priority to Buddhism, I pledge before you that I will safeguard all the other races and religions."
Presidential Candidate of the New Democratic Front Sajith Premadasa also attended several public rallies held in the Eastern province yesterday (November 9). Attending a public rally held in Samanthurei, Ampara he said;
"The council in Samanthurei will be transformed into an Urban council. On the 16th vote for the symbol of Swan and elect a young president, who will provide strong, youthful leadership, who will develop the nation and who will eradicate terrorism, drug smuggling, fraud and corruption, murders, rape, and child abuse, all types of racism. Vote for the Swan symbol that is my request."
Also attending another public rally held in Addalachchenei, Potuvil last evening (November 9), he stated;
"We will establish industrial cities in every district secretariat area. We will bring factories into villages. We will provide employment opportunities for the youth in their villages. We will form a government which will strengthen the mothers and the children of the nation. That will be an energetic government. A government where decisions are taken from the public perspective. A government centring the people, which will spearhead development. Remember when Sajith Premadasa wins on the 16th, its the people who will emerge victorious."
