"Extremists are working towards Gotabaya's victory" - Mujibur Rahuman

COLOMBO (News 1st):- Is there a secret agreement between the SLPP and Varadaraja Perumal? The concern was raised in the political arena today (November 9). UNP MP, Mujibur Rahuman commenting on the matter says;

"Varadaraja Perumal comes out and asks everyone to vote for Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Yesterday on Sirasa and Rupavahini news I saw him asking people to vote for Gotabaya Rajapaksa and to make him victorious. Who is Varadaraja Perumal? He is the one who declared the North and the East as an Eelam state. Varadaraja Perumal is an extremist. Now is he asking everyone to vote for Gotabaya Rajapaksa as a part of some conspiracy? All the extremists are on Gotabaya Rajapaksa's stage. Hizbullah, Varadaraja Perumal, Pillayan and Karuna-Amman are also there. Vigneswaran asks everyone not to vote for any Sinhalese candidate. Who is Vigneswaran? He is the father in law of Vasudeva Nanayakkara's son. There is a deal between Vasudeva Nanayakkara and Vigneswaran. They are trying to stop the votes from the North and the East. All the extremists are working towards Gotabaya Rajapaksa's victory. Sajith Premadasa has won the hearts of all communities. We have no use of Robert Mugabe. This country needs Nelson Mandela. Someone who can unite all communities and build trust between them and take this country forward. The only candidate who fits this description is Sajith Premadasa."

Meanwhile, a journalist questioned UPFA MP Bandula Gunawardene on the four questions directed to Mahinda Rajapaksa by Sajith Premadasa on the agreements they have with Pillayan, Varadaraja, Karuna Amman and M.L.A.M Hizbullah, to which he responded that there are no such agreements signed behind closed doors. Minister of Women and Child Affairs, Chandrani Bandara said:

"Pillayan, Karuna Amman, Varadaraja Perumal, and Hizbullah all of them are those connected to extremist groups. The country identifies them as leaders of extremist groups. Pillayan assassinated innocent people and police officers. Karuna Amman murdered Bhikkus in broad daylight, Hizbullah is someone who provoked racism in the country. He instilled extremism and racism in the country. The country identifies him as such a leader. At the moment his total support is towards Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Varadaraja Perumal is a leader who hoisted the Eelam flag while demanding for North province. There were many unknown agreements that were signed. It is clear that those who spread extremism, those who murdered the innocent, and bhikkhus of the nation and those who demanded an Eelam state, all of them today support Gotabaya Rajapaksa."
