COLOMBO (News 1st):- The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) states that over 18 houses have been damaged in strong winds in the Uva Kuda-Oya village in Wellawaya.

Assistant Director of the Monaragala district at the DMC, Raveendra Kumara says that two houses have been completely destroyed due to the winds. He further said that measures have been already taken to provide compensation for the affected families.
