New program to reforest certain areas

COLOMBO(News 1st) - The Department of Forest Conservation states, it has launched a program to reforest degraded forest areas. The Director-General of the Forest Conservation Department, W.A.C. Veragoda said, 90,000 Hectares of land has been identified for reforestation. He added that several methods such as dropping seeds from the air will be used to reforest these areas.
