Chief suspect in three homicides arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The chief suspect of three murders that took place in Kohuwela, Wattala and Elpitiya has been arrested today (November 03). According to the police, 2.22g of heroin and a mobile phone were found in his possession at the time of the arrest. The Police added that the suspect confessed that he was the hitman in the three murders upon arrest and he is a 29-year-old resident of Ambalantota. The suspect who is an army deserter was arrested by the Mirihana Divisional Law Enforcement Unit and will be produced before the Gangodawila Magistrate today (November 03).
