COLOMBO (News 1st):- 14 Sri Lankans have been arrested at the Katunayake International airport for smuggling a haul of gold weighing 4.7kg.

Media Spokesperson of the Sri Lanka Customs, Additional Customs Director General Sunil Jayarathna stated that the Gold is valued at around Rs. 32 million.

The spokesperson further said that the gold was brought down to the country from Chennai.

Further investigations into the incident are ongoing.
