COLOMBO(News 1st) – Police and sniffer dogs have joined the search for missing British backpacker Amelia Bambridge on the island of Koh Rong, Cambodia on Wednesday (October 30).
Bambridge, 21, disappeared after attending a beach party on the popular tourist island of Koh Rong, Cambodia on Thursday (October 24). The next morning, a bag containing her watch and mobile phone – which showed photos posted online until 3:23 a.m. – was found on a rock near the water’s edge. Her movements thereafter are not known.
Police also revealed her belongings were still in the bag, while her passport was at the hostel, a 40-minute walk from the beach where she was last seen.
Local officials have also joined with coast guards, police, divers and volunteers who live on the island to scour the area in search of Bambridge.
