Colombo (News 1st) Issuing a media release, State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake has posed several questions to Presidential Candidate of the SLPP Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
The state minister said, if the presidential candidate is unwilling to come forward for an open debate, he must answer these questions of the general public.
The following are the questions that were issued to the media today, by State Minister Ranjan Ramanayaka.
- When will the remaining balance of the Rs 9.1 million used to construct the D.A.Rajapaksa Museum, be paid to the government?
- Do you accept the allegations that claim you purchased the Tangalle Bay Hotel with the Rs.5 billion funds you received as a commission by providing the land to Shangri La outright?
- Why have you not revealed the names of the suspects involved in the murder of journalist Lasantha Wickremethunga?
- Do you not possess any information regarding the abduction and harassment of journalists Prageeth Ekneligoda, Poddala Jayantha, Keith Noyahr and Namal Perera?
- Why do you not reveal details about the abduction of businessmen and security officers in white vans?
- What is your view about the income and expenses of the ''Api Venuwen Api Ranwiru'' fund not being audited?
- Why did you not punish those responsible for the shooting at Rathupaswela, that killed three individuals?
- Since Mahinda Rajapaksa, Wimal Weerawansa and Keheliya Rambukwella accepted that land at Sri Sadhdharma Mawatha in Colombo was provided to the Thowheed Jamath Organization, and that benefits were paid through the Defence Ministry, do you also accept part of the responsibility of the April attacks?
- Is constructing a tank to rear sharks at the expenses borne by Gamini Pathirana, who maintained the aquarium at Diyatha Uyana, not a bribe?
- Should you not explain to the public, why you left the country during the war claiming you were under stress?
