Court summons Avant-Garde Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Colombo High Court Judge Sashi Mahendra ordered the Prisons Superintendent to produce Avant-Garde Chairman Major Nissanka Senadhipathi in Court. This is in relation to a case filed under several charges including obtaining and providing a bribe of Rs 35.5 mn to permit Avant-Garde Maritime Services to operate a floating armoury. When the case was taken up, the first accused, Major General Palitha Fernando was present in court. President's Counsel Gamini Marasinghe informed the High Court that the second accused Nissanaka Senadhipathi was remanded until October 8th by the Permanent High Court Trial at Bar.
