Presidential candidates give promises like they are giving toffees to kids : Siritunga Jayasuriya

Colombo (News 1st): The presidential candidate of the United Socialist Party Siritunga Jayasuriya expressed these views at a public rally held in Jaffna today (October 19). He noted that the presidential candidates are giving promises like they are giving toffees to kids. He said both candidates of the main parties are going to temples including Malwatte temple in order to obtain Sinhalese votes. Jayasuriya added that they only need Tamil and Muslim votes just like decorating a cake with icing on top. Therefore, he said this has turned to a down south Sinhalese election now. He noted that it is why they say as the United Socialist Party, believe that this national issue can be solved only by understanding the Tamil people's needs.
