Tri-forces of SL are one of the best in the world : Rohan Pallewatta

Colombo (News 1st): Joining our Newsline Programme this morning (October 18), the Presidential Candidate of the National Development Front Rohan Pallewatta expressed the following views.

Question: What is your National Security policy? Rohan Pallewatta: Well, personally I believe Army, Navy and the Air-force, the tri-forces of this country are one of the best in the world. One thing that we should look into is our maritime security. We should spend and have more surveillance because of all infestations that are happening. Question: It was taken away from the navy and was handed over to a private company. And that chairman is being remanded in the system. Rohan Pallewatta: That is why exactly we need state intervention because we need surveillances because we do not have adequate graphs because our exclusive economic zone is eight times bigger than the country itself. So we need to protect this exclusive economic zone. And we have to use it to the maximum.
