S.B. Dissanayake responds to Wimal Weerawansa

Colombo (News 1st): On October 16th, 2019 Leader of the National Freedom Front Wimal Weerawansa noted that there is no point in talking about the statement made by S.B. Dissanayake. He noted that S.B. Dissanayake's excellent speaking skills were the reason he was jailed at one point. Weerawansa added that as Dissanayake's words have no value, he has no reason to talk about his statements. He went onto note that the biggest help Dissanayake can do to make their election campaign a success is to keep his mouth shut. Responding to this today (October 18) UPFA MP S.B. Dissanayake noted that considering Wimal Weerawansa's social background and educational standards, he does not like to clash with him. Reasoning to his jailed time he noted that he criticized and spoke against a corrupt judicial officer and that is why he was arrested. However, he added that he is happy about that because while he was in prison he wrote 10 books. Dissanayake went onto note that he has not been accused of constructing houses with looted funds nor has he been accused of making fake passports and national identity cards. He added that there are no accusations against him for constructing and providing houses to his relatives. He said he has never been accused of committing fraud or corrupt activities.
