Strict laws against those who sell gas at high prices

Colombo (News 1st): The Consumer Affairs Authority is to strictly enforce the law against traders who sell gas at higher prices. The Consumer Affairs Authority said it received complaints on 6 separate incidents where the domestic gas cylinder was sold at a higher price and many of them were reported from Kurunegala. The CAA requests the general public to call the hotline 1977 and immediately inform them of traders who sell gas at high prices. On the 04th of October Litro brought down its prices. The price of the 12.5 kg gas cylinder was reduced by Rs. 240 in the Colombo District and by Rs. 251 in all other districts. The earlier price of a 12.5 kg gas cylinder was Rs. 1,733.
