Colombo (News 1st): The National Elections Commission says that 513 election-related complaints have been received to date.
The complaints have been received from the 8th of this month until yesterday ( October 14). The Police Headquarters meanwhile has received 15 complaints related to the election.
Police added, 9 suspects had been arrested based on the complaints. The National Polls Observation Center has also received 146 election-related complaints.
The National Organiser of the NPOC, Attorney-at-law Rasaanga Harischandra said, complaints relating to misuse of state resources, providing jobs and illegal campaigning have been reported.
The PAFFREL Organisation meanwhile has received 60 election-related complaints thus far relating to acts such as misuse of state power.
