12 year old drowns in the ZD canal at Welikanda

COLOMBO (News 1st):- A 12-year-old child has drowned in the ZD canal in Welikanda. The police said that the child who was critical died upon admission to the Welikanda hospital.
The deceased child is a resident of Medilla, Baragama. The unfortunate incident had occurred when she had gone to bathe in the canal during a visit to her relatives' house.
