Special hotline for O/L candidates who are yet to receive NIC

Colombo (News 1st): The Department for Registration of Persons introduced a special hotline for G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination candidates who are yet to receive their National Identity Card. Candidates were instructed to submit applications forms to the Department or its regional offices before March 31st, requesting for NIC's to sit for the exam. However, the Department observed many forms had been sent past the due date and also with several errors. Candidates who have not received their NIC's have been advised to contact the hotline 011 522 6115 and take the relevant steps to obtain their NIC.
