Militarilization or peaceful country? Its up to you : Sajith Premadasa

COLOMBO (News 1st) – Presidential candidate of the New Democratic front Minister Sajith Premadasa attended a media briefing at the auditorium of the Colombo public library today (October 12) along with a number of senior members.

The United National Party Bala mandala meeting of the Colombo East and West electorates was chaired by Mayor of Colombo Rosy Senanayake today.

UNP MP S. M. Marikkar noted that the public should decide whether they want a white van era or peace and democracy and national security ensured under the governance of Ministers Sajith Premadasa and Sarath Fonseka.

Eran Wickramaratne, State Minister of Finance shared that they had a number of shortcomings during their period and for a better change they need a president from the UNP. He added that Sajith President has not appointed any of his family members to a government position as he stands against nepotism.

He went on to note that at this presidential election the general public has to select a candidate which comes from different systems. He added that Sajith Premadasa always represented the poor and helpless people of the country.

Dr Harsha de Silva, Non-Cabinet Minister of Economic Reforms and Public Distribution noted that the UNP is continuously blamed claiming that they are selling off the country. He added that however Minister Sajith Premadasa has never been accused of corruption and he is a true patriot.

Minister Sajith Premadasa noted that he will make motherland Sri Lanka a great nation in the future. He added that the president of the country should be able to go to his/her people. He went on to note that he is the most suitable person to govern Sri Lanka.

He finally added that it all depended on the general public whether Sri Lanka turns out to be a military government or a peaceful beautiful country.
