COLOMBO(News 1st) – Former Provincial Councilor Wasantha Samarasinghe expressed his views regarding S.M. Chandrasena at a JVP public meeting held in Thambuththegama.

He noted that S.M. Chandrasena is spreading positivity regarding Gotabaya Rajapaksa, however, he questioned whether he could do the same about himself? He added that he was a small-time thief advocating for an organized thief who has 9 cases against him.

He questioned the Trisects on what happened to their advice not to elect candidates with cases against them as a president of this country?

He added that despite a number of natural resources in the country, 71 years of governance failed to utilize them and develop the country.

He went on to note that the tanks in Anuradhapura are full but the farmers cannot utilize them to cultivate. The phosphate deposits in the area have been abandoned for ages when it could have been used to produce fertilizer and mineral sands in Pulmudai have been ignored for 71 years due to the negligence and the corruption of the rulers.
