Madumadawa Aravinda condemned by SLPP for racial statement

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna voiced their objection to a racist statement made by the Assistant Leader of the Pivithuru Hela Urumaya, Madumadawa Aravinda. UPFA MP Rohitha Abeygunawardena condemned the statement made by Madumadawa Aravinda and acknowledged that it was a racial statement. MP further added that Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna as a party, sees the Sinhalese, Muslims, Tamils and every other race as Sri Lankans and therefore any racial discrimination within the party is condemned. MP went on to note that they hope that the leader of the party Udaya Gammanpila, as someone who engages in clean politics, will rectify the matter.
