"I will leave my position as the President who did not engage in any corruption" - President Maithripala Sirisena

COLOMBO (News 1st):-The Galle district convention of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party was held at the public ground premises in Elpitiya today (October 5). It was chaired by President Maithripala Sirisena under the theme ''Theeranaya Hari Athata'' or a decision towards the correct direction. Speaking at the event the President said;

I will leave my position this November as the President who did not engage in any corruption activity. What we need today is a governance without corruption. That is what we need today and tomorrow. When you are casting your vote on the 11th you should consider who is going to work for the country and who is going to work for their own well being. SLFP is trying to provide leaders who will work for the country. I will not support corruption in any situation even for friendship or other reasons. I am stating this very clearly.
