2 arrested for transporting heroin

Colombo (News 1st): Two men were arrested in Ingiriya for transporting over 02 grams of heroin. Police said after obtaining detention orders from the Horana Magistrate's Court, interrogation of the suspects revealed they were linked to a series of other crimes including the jewellery theft from a store in Ingiriya, the attempted murder of a businessman from Kiriella and the cash and jewellery theft from the Avissawella SANASA Bank. Police said the suspects looted more than 17 pounds in Gold Jewellery. Three other suspects were later arrested and remanded.
