Sanjaya Rajaratnam to be appointed as acting Solicitor General of the AGD

Colombo (News 1st): The Public Service Commission has approved the appointment of Senior Additional Solicitor General Sanjaya Rajaratnam as Acting Solicitor General of the Attorney General's Department. Sanjaya Rajaratnam was appointed to the post due to the suspension of Solicitor General Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe. Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe was suspended for allegedly violating the Code of Professional Conduct by having a telephone conversation with Nissanka Senadhipathi, Chairman of the Avant-Garde Maritime Services Company, an accused in the Avant-Garde case.
