"The Speaker should resign in order to protect the integrity of the parliament" - MP Shehan Semasinghe

Colombo(News 1st) - A media briefing was convened by the Opposition today (September 19). MP of UPFA, Shehan Semasinghe referred to the Speaker's written statement on intending to contest for the presidential election. He emphasized that the Speaker Karu Jayasuriya should immediately resign from his position as the Speaker of parliament as he wishes to engage in politics, in order to protect the integrity of parliament.
