More UNP discusssions tomorrow

Colombo (News 1st) - A special meeting of the leaders of the UNF was held at Temple Trees this evening (September 19). Speaking after the event Minister Sajith Premadasa expressed the following views. He stated that the focus of the meeting was to discuss the working committee which is yet to meet with the MPs and hold further discussions noting that a specific day was not decided to convene the working committee. He added that date was not decided due to the absence of certain people. He further added that the meeting held today was not a "serious" discussion and that they expect to meet tomorrow in order to have a broad discussion. The Minister added that the meeting was also attended by the Chairman of UNP Kabir Hashim and the Prime Minister. He further stated that the discussions held today were not detailed and was postponed for tomorrow. He further stated that there were no discussions regarding the incident that occurred at the Presidential Secretariat during the meeting today. A question was raised among the journalists regarding any matters discussed during the meeting with the leaders of the UNF such as Minister Rauf Hakeem and Mano Ganeshan who reprimanded the Prime Minister as they left the premises. The Deputy Minister stated in response that broader discussions will be held at tomorrow's meeting.
