Prohibition order issued preventing cases against Johnston Fernando being heard in court

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Colombo High Court issued a prohibition order regarding the 5 cases filed at the Colombo Chief Magistrate Court by the Bribery Commission against the former Cooperatives and Internal Trade Minister, Johnston Fernando. High Court Judge Adithya Patabandige has issued the prohibition order following an application of revision by the former minister. The prohibition order is to remain in effect until the application of revision is reviewed. The Bribery Commission filed five cases against former minister Johnston Fernando under the charges of exploitation of 153 Sathosa employees as they were engaged in his own personal political campaign work from 2010 to 2014.
