"I will definitely win the upcoming elections" - Minister Sajith Premadasa

COLOMBO (News 1st):- Four model villages constructed under the "Semata Sevana - Yali Pibidena" Uda Gammana program was vested with the public of Weeraketiya, Hambantota today (September 15). These four model villages are the 283rd, 284th, 285th and the 286th villages constructed under the Uda Gammana program and the villages were declared open by the Deputy Leader of the United National Party, Minister Sajith Premadasa. The model villages which comprise of 77 houses are named as Sathosmathagama, Sasirimathagama, Sirikathamawugama, and Sasethmathagama. The total cost of the project stands at Rs. 84 million. Speaking at the event, Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa said that today when people read a newspaper or watch tv that only one news item takes centre stage, which is whether or not Sajith Premadasa will contest the Presidential elections. However, he goes onto ensure the people that despite all of the obstacles that may lay ahead that he will definitely contest the upcoming Presidential elections. He also commented on several unusual acts taking place with his name connected to all of it, such as the people from Pohottuwa saying that they will never vote for Sajith, while some others fidget without making a proper decision and hesitate to say that they will not vote for Sajith. Sajith Premadasa further assures the people that not only will he contest for the Presidential election, he will for sure win the election and also win it with the support of all people regardless of any racial, religious or class-based schemes. He claims that it is a well-known fact that anyone agrees that this present system in the country filled with corruption, fraud, and theft which is now at the helm of everything should be changed. He further said that at 52 years of age which is the most active period of his life that he has no need to become the leader of the country and live with his pension. He very confidently added that when it is time when he would be tired, where his talents will reduce that he will not then actively participate in anything neither will he seek responsibilities for anything but assured that right now is his time; the time of Sajith Premadasa.
