Police STF discover 18000 kg of dust tea in Wattala

Colombo (News 1st) - The Police Special Task Force has reportedly discovered 18000 kg of dust tea hidden in a warehouse located at Sri Wickrama Mawatha, Wattala. The warehouse was found to be owned by a private organization located in the same area. It was reported that the dust tea was unsuitable for human consumption. The owner of the storage facility was arrested and released on bail advising him to appear in court. The accused was reported to be a 50-year-old resident of Welamboda. A search operation conducted based on a tip-off received by the Organized Crime Control Unit of Police STF had led to the discovery of the dust tea. Police investigations are currently underway regarding the incident.
