10th phase of Diyakawa military exercises held today

Colombo (News1st) - Another operation of the 10th phase of the Diyakawa military exercises was conducted today. The exercises were centred around the Victoria reservoir. Over 2000 military personnel from the tri forces participated in the military exercises organized for the 10th time. 2400 Sri Lanka army soldiers, 400 navy personnel, and 200 soldiers from the Air Force are taking part in this exercise. Personnel from the Commando Regiment, the Special task force, the Air Mobile brigade, and the Mechanized Infantry Regiment also took part in the operations. Military personnel from 10 foreign countries also participated in the exercises. The strength of the Sri Lanka army to defend a strategic location of Sri Lanka from a terrorist attack was displayed during the exercises.
