Colombo (News 1st): A Dhamma school constructed under the Sisu Dham Sevana program at the Puttlam Monarawewa Siri Gunarathanaramaya Viharastanaya was declared open today (September 06). The event was held under the auspices of Minister of Housing and Construction Sajith Premadasa. The building was constructed at a cost of Rs. 4 million provided by the Central Cultural Fund. The project was carried out on the advice of the Chief Incumbent of the Viharaya Venerable Diyadora Meththananda Thero.
Speaking at the event Deputy Leader of the United National Party Minister Sajith Premadasa noted that groups that oppose them in the opposition raise allegations that money is being wasted, however, this program is being conducted under proper conditions. He noted that he does not understand what they are doing, therefore, he must provide an answer to the people of this country.
Minister Premadasa questioned; "Will I continue the work that we have been doing all this time, or will we stop as per the request of our opponents. There is a question if we should continue the construction of these Dhamma schools or not. Who wants these programs to continue?"
He said he will not listen to these envious, crooks in the opposition who have no regard for religion. He pointed out that the public will make that crucial decision in November and December and support Sajith Premadasa. He promised that he will make the public's lives prosper in the future.
