Land Price Index of Colombo district increases

Colombo (News 1st)  The land price index for the Colombo district has increased during the first half of 2019. The land price index for the Colombo district increased to 132.2 during the first half of this year, recording an increment of 13.6 per cent compared to the first half of 2018. The land price index includes three components, the residential land price index, commercial land price index, and the industrial land price index. The industrial LPI, recorded the highest year-on-year increase of 14.9 per cent while the Commercial LPI and Residential LPI increased by 13.2 per cent and 12.8 per cent, respectively. The land price index is compiled by the statistics department of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, while data is sourced from the government valuation department.
