Agriculture Ministry building : MP Duminda Dissanayake to appear before the PCoI

Colombo (News 1st): Former Minister Duminda Dissanayake has been summoned to appear before the Presidential Commission appointed to probe allegations of corruption and fraud at state institutions over the past 4 years today (September 04) at 11 am. He has been summoned to provide a statement regarding a building obtained on lease for the Ministry of Agriculture. On August 20th, the commission ordered the MP to provide the relevant documents pertaining to the lease or rental of the building with the approval of the Attorney General. This was following a statement provided by MP Dissanayake to the commission on a previous occasion. Several officials including former secretary of the Agriculture Ministry B. Wijeratne appeared before the commission to provide statements. Further, on August 27th, Secretary to the Prime Minister also provided a statement.
