100kg of beedi leaves washed ashore in Iranativu

Colombo (News1st) - The Navy discovered a large haul of beedi leaves during a foot patrol conducted by the North Central Naval Command on the Iranativu island. On inspecting two suspicious packages that had washed ashore at, the Naval officers were able to discover 100kg of beedi leaves. The seized haul of beedi leaves will be handed over to the Jaffna Customs for further investigations.
