Purchasing of paddy in the Yala season begins tomorrow

COLOMBO (News 1st):- The Paddy Marketing Board states that the process of purchasing paddy in the Yala season will begin tomorrow (September 2). Chairman of the Board, Kasthuri Anuradhanayake says that a kilogram of Samba rice will be purchased at Rs. 41 while a kilogram of Nadu rice will be purchased at Rs. 38 He further said that the circular with regard to purchasing paddy will be issued today (September 1).
