COLOMBO (News 1st) – Commissioner of the National Elections Commission, Mahinda Deshapriya has stressed on the requirement of a Parliamentary Select Committee to look into the matters related to elections.

He said a proposal on the matter was presented to Parliament.

Deshapriya believes the law on limiting campaign spendings would likely be enforced at the upcoming Parliamentary Elections.
