Colombo (News 1st): A fishing vessel which set sail from Kudawella fisheries harbour has gone missing. Assistant Director of the Search Operations Unit of the Fisheries Department Padmapriya Tissera said that the vessel named “Nishadi” carrying five fishermen left the harbour on August 10th and has been missing ever since.

Padmapriya Tissera added that through the Ministry of External Affairs all countries have been informed regarding the incident. The Sri Lanka navy has also begun search operations for the fishing vessel.
