COLOMBO (News 1st):- In an operation carried out in Dambulla, 17 individuals have been arrested.

The police said that out of the arrested individuals, eight were arrested for the possession of cannabis, while seven others were arrested over driving under the influence. Among the arrested is also one warrant holder.

The operation was in effect from 10.00 last night (August 30) to 4.00 this morning (August 31) with 60 police officers on duty.
